export data source

Hi,

I have a question, i have transectional ODS which is use as an export datasorurce and feed infocube, now i need to add another infocube,

what is the procesure, please some one explaine me step by step,

Hi ,

yes you can.anyhow with the transactional ODS you can only do full update(it won't support delta)

also you can give seletions

if any problem pls post for help!!!!!!!!

Hi ,

create second info cube

create update rules and assign them to 8*infosource which will automatically gets generated by export datasource

under the 8**infosurce node,selet the Ip which is already used IP,and add the new target,finally start loading to both cubes parallely

replicate and activate the transfer rules(not sure whether they work in this senario,but you can try)

note:i assume the second info cube doesn't need historical data which is alredy present in first info cube

the loadig from ODS to cube1 is full update with selection condition in the infopackage, can i use full date with selectiion condition in the infopackage,

please advise me,

If you generated an export data source on ODS or InfoCube it will gerenerate an infosource 8<ODS name> or 8<infocube name> along with the datasource.

So you can create multiple update rules to feed the multiple targets.

create the update rules for second cube by keeping the 8<Transactional ODS> in Infosource tab in RSU1.
