Assigning a handling unit to a production order

Hi,

Could someone tell me if I can assign a handling unit to a production order? If yes, how to do that? Please explain.

Thanks.

with regards,

    Hi,

Handling units are used to move the packed goods and they do not come under the production order.

If at all you require a handling unit then define it as PRT ( either equipment or miscellaneous ) and assign it to operation in Routing.

      Hi Kannan,

Thank you for your response. Please look at the following message and let me know what it means?

The HUs created in the WM system or the transported HUs are assigned to the production order so that the reference between the order and the HUs (with the components of this order) is retained.

Thank you and appreciate your time and response.

      with regards,

      Muthu Ganapathy.
