not able to chage the validity date of a role

hi

i m not able to change the validt till date of a role ,

i have tried from SU01 as well as PFCG , but its not working.

firstly i assigned that role but forgot to change the validity date,

now i m trying to change that , but its not working out,.

while doing in pfcg its showing " invalid function"

its there any other way of doing??

please help

I've not come across that before, but if it is urgent, you could work around the issue by removing the role from the user in SU01 & then adding back in with a new validity date.

Not a perfect solution, but could work depending on your circumstances.

Try su10, in SU10 goto roles tab and click the DELETE ROLES radio button, then give the role name and then in the valid from date give the date which you are trying to put in VALID TO (in su01) and in valid to give 12/31/9999 which will change the validity date. Hope u understand this, if not let me know. (Hope u are not working in a CUA landscape.)

Hi,

If you use the change mode, you see which roles you can edit the date range. If you add the roles by the composite role and than the role is blue in your su01 screen, you only can edit the composite role (that is in black).

Hi,

Try adjusting the user master record for that role. Use PFUD and the data will be adjusted automatically.
