DMS- "Automatic check-In" not working while changing document

Hello Guys,

I am facing a issue pertaining to DMS

When I " EDIT OR CHANGE ORIGINAL" from the document info record , the original opens in change mode and i do all the changes to the document ,

Later i save the DIR.

After saving the DIR, the main screen appears where we enter the information of document number, docu type,doc part & doc version.....

but but but...when i again open the DIR in change mode my "secure lock " of the original is still in open state....this is very critical..since we always forgets to again select the original and checlk to secure storage area.

Is it possible to automatic ckeck in once the documents are editted or changed ......

help me out to solve the problem.

Hi Murali,

George is correct, In DC10 --Select your document type and go to Release Status in detail screen of it you see "Check in" attribute in attributes. So, when you change the status of DIR to Release your original will get automatically Checked-In.

Hi,

just a short information which might also be useful here.

For other applications or none Microsoft office applications,

you can define the program name with AUTO and the extansion NO-LEAVE

For example %AUTO% %NO-LEAVE%. This will react the same way as the SAP office integration (OUTPLACE), the system won't close the transaction going back to screen 100.

To maintain this settings, please run the DC30 ->

Define workstation application in network.

Very Valid point. The "check in" option works for those of EAI vewier & office integration but automatic checkin doesnt work for those which we highlighted as

%AUTO% under tcode DC10

I have a text File to attach as original.

I customized every thing in DC30

Under "Define workstation application in network."

for display: %AUTO%

for change: %AUTO% %NO-LEAVE%

But But But.....when i change the text file in cv02n and save the DIR , still the lock OF secrure storage is under "OPEN STATE" ONLY.

rest every thing is working fine for microsoft office . Its not working for those of which i have maintaing "%AUTO% in change mode under DC30.

Kindly advice in detail to freeze the issue.

Hi ,

please see the SAP note 908729.

Maybe it is usefull here.

Please note that the NO-LEAVE extension is not checking in the orignal again. It only grants that the detail screen of CV02N remains open.

I'm sorry, but it is not possible to do an automatic check after changing an original. In fact, there is no link between the DIR and the application used to edit the original.

But you have the possibility to auto-check-in the original when changing the status of the DIR (for ex. when releasing it). Go and see on status customizing point for your DIR type in DC10.
