what is the valuation classes impact on the FI-MM integration,?

Hi Ameer,

Its Like this,

Different material with simillar properties can be grouped under one valuation class, so that a single stock a/c (G/L account) can be mantained for all the material belonging to that group.In a way we assign every valuation class to a g/l aaccount. Linking valuation claas to G/L account is foundamental in FI-MM integration.

If you open OBYC, consider transaction key BSX and provide the chart of account, then you will see we are assigning G/L accounts to valuation class and Valuation area.

Now in OBYC, we are saying to the system that for this particular valuation area (which can be either the Company code or a plant) for this valuation class (raw material/finished goods etc) for inventory posting post to this account.

Hi,

Valution classess ou can consider as materials. In our client every material having one valution class so basing on that at the time of account assignment it is easy to specify gl accounts particular raw material.

Through valution class the integration between FI-MM happen.
