LMS Browser Settings

At our company, we have access to a variety of browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, Edge), and are finding as we launch our LMS that people are having trouble with cookies, cookie settings, frames, and a variety of other browser issues.

Has anyone else experienced browser issues to the point that your IT group pushed out changes to settings, or recommended a specific browser?

    Hi Jennifer Gildea,

I with the standard package for the browsers there should not be any issues. Some of the issues that I know of are as below.

    1. Chrome
    - "Block third-party cookies" settings in the settings "chrome://settings/content/cookies". --> If you enable this, then there are some issues with accessing the LMS System.
    - chrome://settings/content/flash - You should have Flash enabled for LMS Admin page to work. LMS uses Flash to display most of the admin pages.

Note: Similar settings are there for Firefox and Safari Browser

    2. Internet Explorer
    - When using integrated environment (BizX + LMS) - there are some issues accessing the content. This happens due to the domain changes that IE does not like :). You will need to add your LMS and BizX webpages to the trusted sites list.

If your IT Admin allows, then you can add https://* (for LMS) and https://*.performancemanager .com (it will depend on which datacenter your are on. It can be or, etc.)

    - Internet Explorer is most prone to settings being overridden by the IT Team. They sometimes will control the mode called as "Enterprise Mode". This will emulate the browser string e.g. Document Mode, Browser Profile. You can ask the IT team to have your BizX and LMS URLs removed from this enterprise mode.

Apart from this, there are no known settings that can cause issues with content launch :)
