Load planning data from DSO in Real-time Cube of BI IP

Dear All,

we are using the integrated planning functionality in BI with a real-time Cube to correct data records in our reporting cube.

The data records to be changed are shown via a web report and corrected manually.

Is there a possibility to load data records from a DSO into the real-time cube in order to correct the data records?

Or do we always have to interfere manually?

You dont need a DSO for this.

Have a realtime cube and all the IP obejcts undeneath that. Make a query and make the key figure " changeable".

If the data has to be changed and updated back, then you need to use a real time info provider.

How do you want to load data from the DSO to the cube? Is it during the planning using planning functionality or before planning starts?

I think you can do it both ways; 1) by planning - include the DSO and cube in a multiprov and use planning to copy records, 2) switch real-time cube to load mode (can be done in process chain) and load records from DSO to cube using transformation.

Dear Mayank,

we would like to load the data during the planning functionality, so to say instead of using the planning functionality of the web report.

We have the aggregation level on the real-time cube and load the real-time cube from our infoCube with DTP. Then we do the planning with a web report and load the delta records back into the InfoCube.

Do you have any idea how to use DSO data to create delta records as the planning functionality?

Hi Llona,

At our client we are using the same functionality. We are using the DSO to load data to real time Infocubes. And the basis of the Infocube data we are doing IP reporting.

To use the DSO, use Standard dso and use change log table to update the Infocube data. When you create a DTP from DSO to cube, select radio button 'Data Store Change Log' in the 'Extraction from' option.

and create normal transformation.

Assign points if helpful.

hi mayank.

we are here trying to load data from dso to realtime infocube,

we created a multiprovider and used the standard planning function,

with realtime cube in planning mode,

both dso and realtime cube has the same objects with version which is one extra in realtime cube.

when we try to execute the function it says executed without error

but says 0 records read and 0 generated.

we have iinfoprovider in changed.

and dso have 50 records.

i tried lot fo things but couln'y yhink of what problem might be.

Hi,

I myself have not done this (copying from DSO to cube) but conceptually it should work fine. You need to look for issues in your implementation. Some ideas:

1) Check if the characteristics are identified properly in multiprov from the DSO.

2) Check that the selections of the filter under which you are running the function are not filtering out the data of the DSO.

i did proper indentification.

and filter is fine actually to test I also tried without restricting.

but no luck..

will look onto more and if find something will revert back to this thread
