Hi

I'm following up with an SLD check error.

<i>Testing the SLD API

An exception has occured

Description: Exception in SLD client: AbapSLDRequestHandler.ping(): server connection *** failed *** on Wed Oct 17 11:47:09 UTC 2007

Clearing the local SLD cache

Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS

Retrieving data from the SLD server...

Function call returned exception code 4</i>

Also the sld page is opening up with an invalid address though the rioght path is maitained in SLDAPICUST. any inputs in troubleshooting this issue?

thkx

Hi Prabhu,

Check the following notes ..

Might help you ..

Note 608322 - SLDAPICUST: Discrepancies with the host name, FQDN

935245 - Importance of "Object Server" SLD parameter

If the TCP/IP destinations specified in SM59 were working , dont change anything.

Hi Prabhu,

Can you try this..

Go to sldapicust. Click on the Password button. Next click on Delete. Go Back and click on the password button.

Now enter the password again.

Also check if the hostname mentioned in sldapicust and sm51 matches or not?

Also let us know what is the invalid addres which you are getting.

Regards,

Sumit

it is very stragne error

https:

are you able to open this manually in IE and from there can you open SLD, if yes then you might have to cross check the entries in Exchange Profile.....

Hi Prabhu,

u want to login to Visual Admin,

In your installtion drive(C:\ or d:\ etc..) search the folder \usr\sap\clustername\JC00\j2ee\admin find a go.bat there and start it.

Here the cluster name depends on your installation...

It will open a UI ..select default configuration or any one if u configured spifically for your j2ee engine from UI.

give your j2ee_admin user id and password. and say connect.

For more info

Can you check the default trace file at this time ?

What program ID you are using in your RFC SAPSLDAPI, the correct program ID would be something like SAPSLDAPI_XXX.

Go through 700127 note, hope it helps you out.....

LCRSAPRFC

SAPSLDAPI of type TCP/IP

( names of the RFC check once)

SLDAPICUST and these 2 rfc are respossible for SLDCHECK to work fine and more over rz20 is pointing to correct SLD.
