hi friends,
i just want to know if the material staging indictor for production supply field was left blank, what will the system do to the material posting any movement.thanks and God Bless You!
Hi Alln,
This indictor is required to activate WM material staging. I mean this config is part of WM-PP interface and as WM pick list is controlled at order level not at component level. So if you maitain that material stging will not happen automatically.

hi Prasobh,
i encounter this in COR3,in the process order menu bar Goto ->Lists -> WM Pick list. i've notice that the material staging indicator for production supply, storage type and storage field is blank for one of the component material of that process order. i want to know if this field has something to do why this component create a transfer requirement. thanks.
If all components in your order have the right data and just one is showing this problem, you have to check some basic stuff:
- which is the supply area / storage type
- control cycle destination and indicator
Without this information you will have problem at the moment of Goods issue (even if you have stock)

hi Ardiles,
this is very odd. all component is mark deleted all though one of the component is has not defined storage type, storage bin and material staging indicator, it still has a transfer requirement. what are the possible reason why this happen.thank you so much.what transaction should i go to check
- which is the supply area / storage type
- control cycle destination and indicator
Hey, Allan
If you are working with WM you should check the following:
- the workcenter in the routing or recipe has a Supply Area defined at header. (CR02)
- component should have WM view defined in material master (MM03 or MM01)
- Component has a control cycle: LPK1 or LPK2, where you state the storage type, supply area and indicator.
- According to the Issue SLoc in MRPViews (MM02) components can be supplied from MM or WM. If they are coming from MM, they are not going to arise in Picklist.
Let me know how is your actual situation.
Dario
