Why is the page count incorrect in the report header?

Hello,

I have a report which is embedded in a aspx form and displayed using Crystal Reports Server 2013 OEM.

The aspx form has a search panel in which the user can enter criteria to refine the retrieved records.

I have the following problem:

When the user retrieves all the available records, the page count in the report header is correctly set (in the image you can see that it says "1 of 19", which is correct):

But if I run the report again to retrieve fewer records, the page count is not updated. It will still say "1 of 19" even though there is only 1 page in the report.

I have tested the same report in other versions of Crystal Server, like XI and 2008 and this does not happen.

Would anybody know why is this happening? Is there a way in which I can force the page count to reset? could this be related to the report session?

Thanks in advance,

Hector

Hi Hector,

Are you using PostBack and Sessions? It is a must now to use them....

Is the Viewer/CR code in the Page_Init section?

Hello Don,

Yes, I am using postback and sessions in the aspx form to display the report.

The viewer/CR code is in the page_load event. I tried moving the code to the page_init event, but when I do that the report is not displayed at all.

Do you think that the issue is related to the event triggered in the aspx form?
