VL01N - Is it possible to consider only WM stock that is put away?

Hello,

I have a request from a user to change VL01N (delivery creation from a sales order) in such a way that it will only create delivery lines for stock that is put away (Not in a 9xx storage type).

For example, if I have a requirement for 10 pieces, and I have 8 in a bin, and 5 in 917 UML-ZONE: when I attempt to create a delivery for these 10 using VL01N, SAP creates the delivery line (because storage loc stock is sufficient) but it does not create the transfer order (warehouse management says only 8 available). The user is then required to delete the delivery and try again later OR continue to check warehouse management and create the transfer order when sufficient stock is available.

We would like to change configuration so that this delivery line can not be created until after sufficient stock is available in WM. This will cut down on the number of transactions required.

Does anyone have any ideas? I couldn't find anything in configuration. The best I could come up with is to add code to the delivery copying requirements in tcode VOFM.

Thanks,

Randy Poser

I ended up creating a user exit for VL10C that does what I was looking for. It adds up all stock in non 9xx locations, and if zero, deselects the line.

Hi,

There is a standard solution used by many customers : you can link several MM storage locations to a WM storage locations.

When you do the goods receipt, you do it in storage location MM1. When the warehouse guys put the goods in the correct bin, there is an automatic transfert from MM storage location MM1 to MM2.

You sale from MM storage location MM2. That's it.

You need to change the config of your system a little bit.
