BPS upgrade into BI7

Hi All;

We have currently BW3.0B and SEM3.1B(using only BPS) with the same server, We are planning to upgrate this BW to BI7.0 and at the same time since the SEM is running in the same server the BPS will also be upgraded. I read some documentations about the BW-BPS and BI-IP, could someone pls give me suggestion what route we should go, as have has planning on PS and costcenters now and there are several custom variables which are using custom function module as an exit variable.

With the web planning layouts, we also have web uploads....what would be the best way of doing it and what are the challenges...any OSS?

Since you are running SEM, you will also need to upgrade to SEM 6.0.

There is no automatic upgrade from BPS to IP. If you wish to use IP you have to manually convert all your BPS layouts and functions to IP.

I would say to keep your stuff as is, unless you want to reimplement everything in IP.
