Merge of ECC 4.6c System to ERP6.0 - solutions/possibilities?

Friends,

Our company has different SAP systems running for different business and now they want to merge one of these ECC 4.6c system associated with one business to ERP6.0 EHP7 which is already live and running over years for another Business. I welcome your comments and ideas to have a successful merge of 4.6c with ERP6.0.

    I am doing such projects since 2000, depending on the size and its kind of business we usually have project times from 6 to 18 months. In smaller projects we may do it with about 6 to 10 IT people, while in bigger projects the number is double to triple of that.

    Beside of the "small" technical part with data cleansing and mapping the master data we usually have a huge part of the project to get the user ready for the processes on the big global machine. Don't underestimate that part, some users used their legacy SAP system for 10 years and they immediately forget what they did when they get a hand to the new system
