Afternoon,

I have installed SAP Contact center over a land scape of 4 servers.

  • Two application servers
  • One Database Servers
  • One Reporting Server

I have Configured and Enabled the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator service on all servers as recommended by SAP.

The Data Collector is failing to connect to the database server and produces the following error:

ERR> ProdCrawlerHelper::DeterminaAllExternalAgents: Exception while reading external agents: SQLDriverConnect failed (MONITORING/28000/[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ''.)

00:00:32.474 (05976/DBConnectionPoolThread) ERR> Exception in CheckDBConnectivity(). Reason: SQLDriverConnect failed (MONITORING/28000/[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user ''.)

Kindly advise on how to resolve this problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Data Collector is indicating that it cannot connect to the databases, to be more precise the authentication is not working. For authentication you can select from two methods:
- Windows authentication
- SQL auhentication

Now when log says Login failed for user '' it indicates that SQL auhentication is used and username field is invalid. If all other virtual units are working fine, then I would recommend to double check setting for Data Collector.

Jukka
