JDK SOLMAN Problem

Hallo everybody,

i hope someone can help me.

We want to install SOLMAN 4 R2 on a server where one Sap System is already running.

The server system properties are:

MWindows server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition - Service Pack 1.

Computer: Intel(R) Xeon CPU 5130 @ 2.000....

If a go on the other Sap System, under System-Configuration - Host Data, i can read:

OS NT

Machine Type - 4x AMD L

Server Name...

Platform ID - 562.

First i want to ask, is this system AMD64bit?

Cause i have it checked with note 146289, and it seems so.

During installing the SOLMAN 4 R2 on MAXDB, Sapinst ask the JDK directory.

I enter die value: C:j2sdk1.4.2_16, also value in JAVA_HOME under Environment Variables. But then i receive msg error:

the JDK installed in directory C:j2sdk1.4.2_16 - (or C:j2sdk1.4.2_16 in, tested too)- does not support the 64 bit data model. Choose a different JDK.

We have checked on sun site for the right release and have done also many tests with other releases under: https://sdlc1d.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=DFB8CDE73E15228E664278B9A88D7E37

:

-->"Windows Offline Installation j2sdk-1_4_2_XX-windows-i586-p.exe"

but every release makes wir the same error.

The requested JDK is between 1.4.2_09 and 1.5.00 (higher not supported).

What can i do? I´ve already done many test with many JDK release, but...

Thanks in advance

Alberto D.F.
