Error sending mail message to SMTP server. Return code 3

When I schedule a report with defined as Excel output I am getting the below message.

This only seems to occur when Excel file is quite large in this case &Mb. Smaller files are no problem. It is not the receiving email as they can accept upto 10Mb. Is there a setting in Crystal report server which limits size of file to be sent.

When I view and download as excel there is no problem.

I have seen this problem posted on forum archive but no answer was given

Error Message:

write error. [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]: [Error sending mail message to SMTP server. Return code: [3].]

please provide some help on this.

Resolved it is a limitation placed on the SMTP server.

Modified SMTP settings to allow the Report server email address to send bigger files.
