I have created Calculation View and at the final semantic node I have a couple of measures with Currency. I have created a Restricted column derived from a measure. Now I have hide the measure column and showing only restricted column.

First thing: I am not able to assign any semantic type to restritcted column.

Second thing: If I am not able to define semantic type to restricted column, then it should show the semantic type of column from where it is derived.

Hi Yogesh,

Normally we can assign semantic type for any restricted/calculated column we create based on any measure.

I tried to replicate the scenario you have mentioned above and I am able to assign semantic type to the restricted column I created based on price measure (and hidden the price).

Generally, Restricted column takes semantics from the column from which it is derived. I think, there is no semantics to column price, that's why you are able to maintain the semantics to the column, Headset_Price. In my case I have semantics assigned to the column so I am not able to assign seperate semantics to restricted Column
