Dear Friends,

How many ways are there to move transportation requests from one client to another client like development server to quality, quality to testing, testing to production.

how can we move transportation requests, if there is any transportation request not moved or we miss one transportation request, how can we trace it.

How can we see all transportation requests generated by all users in implementation team, is there any way to see what all configuration they did in the project. How can we reach configuration screen in IMG from Transportation request.

what is the transaction code to list all transportation requests. Please help me to clarify my doubts. your help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much

Raghu Ram

hi,

The movement transport request from one client to another is doen by the basis team.First u will do the confi in the development client then basis team will be intimated to move it to quality client for testing.

After testing u can move it production client by intimating to ur basis team.

To see the transport request goto STMS/SE09-> give ur user id-> display all ur transport request

Hi Ram,

You can use the tcodes SE10, SE09 and STMS to transport the requets from one server to another.

ex; DEV to Qality, Quality to PRO

SCC1 for copy the request from one client to another

ex; dev. client to unit testing (if dev. and unit testing clients existing in one server)

1) How you will release change request in SD module? How often you release them?

Ans. A change request is created whenever do a change to the existing configuration. Reasons for a doing a config might be that there is config mistake or the client requests for an enhancement ie., what is not already there or an additional functionality which the client needs.

Also a request is generated when we do some abap development. A request simply stores the changes made. And those changes ie request we release from development server to quality where it is tested against the desired result. Found good we move it production. The requests are moved by the basis consultants.

And releasing a request is irrespective of any module. Its a change made to the existing functionality.

) Make a note of this request number

2) go to SE10

3) select modifiable

4) system will display all request numbers and first one at the top of all requests would be the new/recent one i.e what you saved(made note of)

5) Expand the request, select the bottom request and select BUS(transport) and then activate and save and back.

6) select the top request and the select BUS and save and back now the data is ready to be transported and BASIS will take care of rest of the work.

2.) What is the difference between task and change request?

Ans.Task is the individual Repair/Development & Correction

Request Groups such tasks for transportation.

3) Is it possible to release change request, without releasing task?

Ans. No. It is not possible.

All the tasks should be released in order to the release the request. Onceyou release the task, the locks of the objects are transferred to request level.

To check whether a request exists in the system, Check the table E071 in that system.

Give your request number to E071 table and if any entry exists in the table then it is avialable in that system otherwise its not.

Another Option: Goto transaction SE01 and click on F5. Give your request number and press enter. Click on the request number and Click on Transport Logs( CtrlShiftF2 ) ie icon with Book and Glass. It will show you the overview of the request moved in different systems.

Reward points pls.

Govind.

hi,

You can trace the entire history of the transport request through the transaction STMS.
