not clear on your question. Based on your information, what I understood, you already promoted some users. Want to promote the group now or new users added in platform1 to platform2? Is that your question?

Philippe,

You first need to find out what JOBS the NEW Users in Group A on Platform 1 owns. Go to the CMS and filter by NEW User by name, see screen shot below

Once you find what Objects the NEW Users in Group 1 they owns you can promote these Objects. Now use Promotion Manager to select these Objects and Dependencies, confirm the User has been selected. Also keep in-mind if you ever promote a Objects or Delete a User that own a job and you want change the ownership to the Administrator account, you can use REPOSCAN tool

Regards,

Ajay

If you re-promote the group as a whole, nothing should happen with the existing users. Since they were already created through a promotion job, the SI_CUID value for each, including their favorites and inboxes, should match what's in the system you're promoting from. So, other than the possibility of overwriting passwords, it should be ok.

Another way to do this might be to select the new users from within the specific group itself when creating the promotion job. This way their group membership should promote along with them.

Hi Phil,

You should follow the same process what you did to promote the group 1.

The LCM uses CUid for promotion and hence only the new user will get moved to new system and the old users will not be effected.
