0CO_OM_WBS_1 vs 0CO_OM_WBS_6

Dear all,

I'm observing some duplicated data in 0PS_C041 cube, where records are brought in by 0CO_OM_WBS_1 and 0CO_OM_WBS_6. Actually, I'm a bit puzzled -- should these two data sources be used together, or should make a choice? They deliver not quite the same data, both in terms of fields and in terms of number of records.. SAP Help on these data sources doesn't tell much.

Cheers!

0CO_OM_WBS_1

This DataSource provides all costs and quantities (plan, actual, and commitment) of the WBS element.

0CO_OM_WBS_6

This DataSource provides the actual costs and actual quantities of the WBS element

You have to use either one of these acc to ur needs.

0CO_OM_WBS_1 will give u plan, actual & commitments.

N its a bit outdated as its not even Delta Capable.

If you are in need of only actuals u can just use 0CO_OM_WBS_6 with the luxury of Delta as well.

However if u even want Commitments u can use 0CO_OM_WBS_7 which is also delta capable.

We use only 0CO_OM_WBS_3 & 0CO_OM_WBS_6 as our needs only demand those. Here we pull our budget from IPlanning Cubes.

I am really not sure if Plan Costs fed by 0CO_OM_WBS_1

& Overall Plan Costs fed by 0CO_OM_WBS_3 are similar.

You can always restrict data at Infopackage level using selections , like if u want to avoid duplication of actuals --- just give the Value Types for Plan & Commitments in the Infopackage on datasource 0CO_OM_WBS_1 - so u can get Actuals only once from 0CO_OM_WBS_6
