Hi Susmitha

For example create a sales order with 10 line items and then go to the reasons for rejection tab and reject 4 line item by assigning reason to them and then save the order. Now create a delivery(VL01n) and you will see that only 6 line items get copied over to the delivery document.

But then if the order is incomplete in the sense that it is placed on delivery block, billing block or credit hold then the document has to be released from these to be able to be processed for delivery.

    I hope this helps

It depends on the status field assigned in the field of the incomplete procedure that you assigned to the document type at header and item level.

To assign the incomplete procedure at Sales Doc header level - VUA2

To assign the incomplete procedure at Sales Doc Item category - VUP2.

    Identify the incomplete procedure assigned.

and check the incompletion procedure and under" fields" there is a field "Status" using this you can control whether we can create delivery or not.

For example There a field PO Number which is assigned to the Incomplete procedure. Check the number entered in "Status" field in the Incompletion procedure for field PO (BSTKD). it should be '01' or '02' or '03.

Now using OVA0 , Check the control of the status groups, if you remove the check box in the delivery column of your status, you should be able to create delivery even with out entering that field.

    Hope it solves ur issue.

    hi,

This u can fulfill bu using the status group confi in INCOMPETION LOG

    menu path:

Find out what is status group asssigned to ur sales document header

spro-->Img->SD>basic function->log of incomplete terms->define incomplete procedure->select A->click procedure now select "11" & click fields--->here u will find the status column, where different status number will be there for diff fields note down

Now follow the same menu path

define status group--> u find where are teh incompletion log apply-> remove the tick from all except GENERAL.

note:also check in assign the incompletion procedure the column ICdialog shouldn't be tick

    Hi,

This can be set with the help of 'incompletion procedure'.

In incompletion procedure, we set the fields, if not maintained in the order the system makes the order as incompleted. If we want further proceedings to be stopped for the order, if it is incomplete, we can do it in the incompletion procedure.

    Hi Susmitha,

You can create a delivery inspite of an incomplete sales order document. The configuration for the same is done in the incompletion log proceudre. In the procedure you can specify which are the fields you want to validate, whether the message should be an error or warning, whether the document can be saved and processed further.

Consider a sales order where the payment terms have not been entered and incoterms has been entered. Now for a delivery document the incoterms is important and the payment terms is more revelant for the billing document. So I would still allow the delivery document to be created but not the billing document.

    Hi Friends,

My understanding of the Susmita's question says about a sales order which has the status as INCOMPLETE. As per my knowledge, we cannot create a subsequent document with reference to an incomplete document

As suggested by you, if we make changes in the incompletion log, the status of the sales order will not show as INCOMPLETE and then there is no debate on creating subsequent document with reference to a complete document.

    Thanks,
