Issue in Hierarchy Load from BW to BPC 10.1

Hi Gurus,

I'm trying to load Company Code Hierarchies from BW info Object to BPC. it's throwing an error:

Task name HIERARCHY DATA TARGET:

An exception with the type CX_SY_STRUCT_COMP_NAME occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause Component Name 'CONSOLIDATION HIERAR' of the Component 2 Contains an Invalid Character.

later I realized BW has morethan 20 Character length and BPC is restricted to 20 characters. If copied BW hierarchy and restricted to 20 character then I can able to laod the Hierarchy.

Could someone please help us is there any way to avoid this error/issue without copy BW hierarchy and restrict to 20 character.

Sorry, but you are not reading my answer: Incorrect Tag not corrected!

is absolutely not related to the question! Moderator alerted!

BPC 10 allow 32 characters in the ID, not 20. If you have more than 32 - then you have to do something! Please check for maximum length in BW. Also provide details about your BPC and BW versions and SP. And provide your transformation and conversion files!

I am really trying to be polite...

But it's absolutely the easiest thing to change the tag in the question! Much easier then to import hierarchy 🙂

Hint - first delete the secondary tag...
