lenght, width and height in VL10

Hello,

We are using transaction VL10. To optimize our transports we would like to show lenght, width and height in VL10.

Where must we maintain this information that we can show it in VL10?

Best regards

these fields are included in structure VHU_VL10_HU which was edit by SAP last time

structure VHU_VL10_HU in included in append-structure JIT_VL10_APPEND

append-structure JIT_VL10_APPEND is included in structure SHP_VL10_ITEM

My structure SHP_VL10_ITEM does not have these fields, maybe someone in your organization added them more or less following the instruction of OSS note 421791 - VL10: Including new fields in the shipping due date list

but probably missed the part with filling values into those fields which is explained in 198137 - VL10: Customer-specific enhancements / user exits

So it is an automotive solution that you have?

If that is a HU specific append then I can just ask you whether you already have a HU for your sales order?

are other fields of that structure filled, e.g. VENUM or EXIDV

we have activetd business function ECC-DIMP

I didn't have a HU for my sales order.

fileds in structure are filled but fields VENUM and EXIDV are empty

The fields lenght, width and height are HU fields and stored in table VEKP from where it gets into the structure that is used in VL10. If you have no HU yet then I think you can't have this value in VL10.

Just do a test and create a packing proposal in your sales order and see if you then get the fields filled.

I've done a test with HU and packaging

after cerating a delivery and pack there is an entry in table VEKP but in VL10 fields are still empty

we want to see information in field before creating outbound delivery

VL10 is selecting sales orders and you create deliveries from here, which means for me that packing in a delivery is too late for VL10, just my logic as I do not use these fields in VL10 as I stated earlier.

do you have any idea to fill this fields (mayby reading lenght etc. from HU and multiply with order quantity)?

The general logic for extra fields is explained in the OSS note which I mentioned above.

If your situation is similar to the extra fields or just standard in a DIMP solution I can't tell, there is probably only debugging to know where SAP is trying to fetch values from.

the fields are in your material master - additional data button - unit of measure tab. Just scroll to the right.

But I have never seen those fields in VL10.

did you create a new sales order ?

Which fields do you actually have in VL10, please click the column header and then press F1 and in the pop-up click the icon for technical field help and tell the structure and field name.

yes, I've created a new sales order after updating data in material master

fields in VL10 are:

SHP_VL10_ITEM-LAENG

SHP_VL10_ITEM-BREIT

SHP_VL10_ITEM-HOEHE
