Hi keerthi,

y we keep *'s in service and party while in reeiver determination?

In simple terms i will say ....to allow multiple receivers.

In the Receiver Determination, configuring the Sender and putting '*'(Asteric) in the column of Receiver Party and Service, the reason behind is that you can configure multiple receivers based on the condition.

That means one Sender and multiple receivers. To enable this we need to put * in that column and define multiple receivers in the "Configure Receivers".

I guess now ur confusion is a bit clear!!!

Hi Keerthi,

The Asterik * in Receiver Party and Service in Receiver Determination indicates that there can be one or more than one receiver for a particular sender and Interface pair.

hi keerthi,

As a general rule: '' is a wild card character u can say... so whenever u use '' it means it can be replaced by any character(s)

in the context of ur ques, it therefore means that the particular routing rule works for any party and any service. it is called 'generic'

hope it helps.

latika.
