Is it possible to call ABAP methods (implicit) out of a CDS view ?

Hello CDS experts,

is it possible to provide ABAP method callback hooks to OpenSQL execution engine like in AMDP (ABAP->DB procedure) but vice versa to emulate transient tables like transient BOPF nodes ?

SELECT a FROM TABLE transient_table

would result in ABAP method calls returning table of "a" if transient_table is defined as CDS view with proper ABAP callback provided to SQL parser & execution engine

Thanks,
Matthias

When activated, CDS View is present at the database layer.

The existence of CDS solely is based on Code Pushdown Functionality i.e. No participation of application layer.

But ABAP methods are part of the application layer.

So, it is not possible to access any ABAP methods in CDS.

Hope it helps,

Regards

Saurabh
