Integration of Credit Management with FI
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or somewhere in between.
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored. This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control information for each customer.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level. You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for Financial Accounting. Hi Jyotsna,
Credit management is relates to finance, how much credit limit can allowed to a particular customer can be decided by finance department, hence its an integration with FI. And you can get the path through IMG->Enterprise structure>Definition--->Fianance Accounting->Define Credit Control Area ...........
3 types of credit check available- (1) simple (2) AutomaticStatic (3) Automatic -- Dynamic
For configuration follow these steps:
1. Define Credit Control Area (CCA), tcode [OB45]
2. Assign CCA with your co.code [OB38]
3. Define Risk Category [OB01]
4. Define Credit Group [OVA6]Credit check at the level of Sales Order, at the level of delivery, at the level of goods issue- define all the three groups
5. Assign Sales Document type and Delivery Document type for credit check. at [OVAK] and [OVAD]
Simple Credit Check configuration is over. and for Static or Dynamic continue with
6. Define automatic credit control through IMG-->Sales & Distribution -->Basic Function --> Credit Mgmt./Risk Mgmt --. Credit Mgmt. --> Define automatic credit control.
Here fill all the required fields:
CCA, Risk Category, Credit Group (set up separately all the three levels). maintain a description.
Item Check, activate it as it will check the credit at item level too
Static
Dnamic -- is equivalent to Static but with an Horizone date so choose any one
etc.
etc.
Fill the required datas in all the fields and save it.
Note: 1. check "Payment history record" in company code data at Customer master( [XD02] ) Payment Transaction section
Note:2. Check "Credit Active" at Item category i.e. TAN
Note:3. Check Credit limit - A at Sales Document Type OR (or your defined one)
And maintain the record at t.code [FD32] and follow these 5 scenarios by enter key.
1.Overview
2. Address
3. Central Data here specify the TOTAL AMOUNT and INDIVIDUAL AMOUNT(nothing but one item you can say item wise amount)
4. Status
5. Payment History
Hope it ill clear your credit management customization. if not you can catch me at ss2010@webdunia.com and award the reward point.
Bye
Sarat
