Hi HANA (SDI) Experts,

i have got a scenario shown below.

SCENARIO - HANA (an instance hosted in AWS) connecting to HANA (another instance hosted in AWS) via DP Agent (another seperate windows server instance).

OUTCOME - Cant create a HANA remote source system.

Issue - can't get the source HANA created as a remote source in the HANA target system. keep getting error (below) related to JDBC.

error message:

"SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: Cannot establish JDBC connection. Error: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://54.252.187.113:8022/ [Data receive failed.]"

Question: Could you please advise the above 2 scenarios why am i getting this errors?

Hello Willie,

the jdbc connection to the hana system is usually based on the IndexServer port and should be something like 3<instance nr>15 .

Given your jdbc connection string, the 8022 is probably the port for the xs engine and you can reach the webide and other services through it?

Kind Regards,
