Customer Service - serial number issue

Hi,

In case of repair / replacement, when I try to update sales order, I am getting an error *** This Serial number cannot be used here***

Can anybody help?

    Check the status of the serial number record using IQ03. The status usually controals the use of that particular material/serial number record.

    Hello,

    Check in configuration for serialiization profile.Is serialization process for sales order is configured & check whether serialization profile is assigned in Material master?

    If all this is done & still you are getting an error , Pl let me know the detials of error message ?
