Material Master Problem

Dear Friends:

I am trying to enter profit center in material master. I am getting the following error.

Profit center 2000/S-100 does not exist

Message no. KM701

Diagnosis

Profit center S-100 has not been created in controlling area 2000.

Procedure

Check your entry. If necessary, create the profit center.

Create profit center

NOTES: My Controlling area is 3500.How to change the controlling area to 3500 and enter the profit center.Please advise.

hi,

i think your controlling area is not assigned to company code and further to plant,

check that setting first.

check okkp and ox18.

I have checked the answers and my configuration. All settings are fine. Yet, I facing the problem.

Please let me know, how to change the controlling area?

The Controlling area is wrong. My Controlling area is 3500, but in the material master it is coming as 2000.

How do i change the controlling area in Material Master, ie. I can input the profit center?

Hi,

Please check the assignment of your SORG to the COMPANY CODE in turn to its Controlling area, I hope your controlling area 2000 is not assigned to the company code.

Try to create a copy of the profit center for your controlling area using KE51 tcode.
