R 11.5 Running in IIS with WWW Isolation Mode

I'm running R 11.5 on a windows 2003 box, but I had to run the WWW service in Isolation mode. Any known ill effects?

    Doug,

It shouldn't make a difference, as long as the ServletExec adapter is properly hooked into IIS and web and webapp content works. Here's a thread to look at: http://servlets.com/archive/servlet/ReadMsg?msgId=728387&listName=servletexec-interest

The 11.5 install is the ServletExec AS install, not the ISAPI, so why do you need to run in isolation mode? Some .NET app?

    Regards,

    Jeremy

Turns out we had a bad installation of IIS. Without running in isolation mode we would get a "Service unavailable" message on any URL, including "http://localhost" With isolation mode on, IIS would work correctly but xMII services would not.

We reinstalled IIS and xMII and everthing works fine.
