Business Content Transformations in BI 7.0

Hi Guys,

A quick question.

Do we have business content transformations available in BI 7.0 for Business Content Inforproviders ( lets say 0SD_C01) like we used to have business content update & transfer rules in 3.x.

I could find system displaying that. System stragely force me to creeate manual transformation and doesnt even generate proposal which it used to do for update & transfer rules in 3.x.

System will hardly propose rules during transformations - mapping the manually is the only way out.

For mapping check out the ROOSFIELD table to find the related objects on BI.

Also preffered - > Routines will have to be migrated accordingly to OO ABAP, you have to make minor changes in the Coding.

Ex : TRANS_STRUCTURE/COMM_STRUCTURE will be SOURCE_FIELDS .

Thanks Roberto. if thats the case how would complex routines written in update and transfer rules (e.g. in case of Inventory managment 0IC_C03) would be taken care of?

the business content is still shipped with 3.x dataflow. The best way to do create complex std transformations - is to install 3.x dataflow (update/transfer rules) and manually migrate them.

Right Click on Update Rules - Migrate ( guess its in Additional Functions ) - U may or may not have any syntax errors - u can goahead wid dem bt as mentioned u shud migrate them to meet d standards of OO ABAP.

hello ashish,

i think you have to right click on the data source and click migrate, all the data sources which belong to sd are replicated in 3.5 so uve got to migrate it first to 7 with export. i think this may be of some help
