BoM creation is inconsistent: Line items with a released ECO assigned to variant 1 do not exist

Hi,

I want to create in the UI (afterwards automated) a minimal Version of an consitent BoM. I assigne

• a Product + Quantity
• an ECO
• BoM ID and BoM Varant ID

Than the error: "Line items with a released ECO assigned to variant 1 do not exist" occure by the consitency check,

even if I add and fill out a input product.

What mean the error and how can I solve it?

Hello Rico,

Error : Line items with a released ECO assigned to variant 1 do not exist

This is due to the fact that ECO assigned is not marked as complete. (When you create ECO from BOM Creation screen, Status of the ECO will be In process.)

Option 1)

To avoid/ Solve error, Save the BOM with the required details and then reopen the BOM by Searching for the Created BOM and then click Edit.

Under the input product tab, Click on Button "ECO" and select Complete.

Now go to general and variants tab and click on check consistency button. This time system will not raise error message.

2) Go to Engineering change order view of planning and production master data,

Search for the ECO and click edit

Click on change status and select complete.

Next time when you do a consistency check for the BOM, system will not raise error.
