Generation of Single SCA file from multiple ones

Hi All

We are having single track that is being used for development.

Development takes place in phases. So, at the end of each phase, we get an SCA file. But this SCA file contains only those DCs which were worked upon in that particular phase.

I want to get an SCA file which contains DCs of all the phases.

Can anybody help on this ?

Any pointers will be well rewarded. Also feel free to ask if the problem is not clear.

Regards

Kapil

PS : please dont give links on how to design the track, its high time for us to redesign our track.

Hi Kapil,

I understand the SCAs produced via JDI this way.

You have a developed SC in track that contains n number of DCs. You work with those DCs and finally after the assembly you get a SCA that contains all the DCs developed inside it. You for a single track you cud have lot of SCAs.

What do you mean by phases here? Is your scenario like this...you have lot of SCs with n number of DCs inside each SC and at the end you just need a single SCA with all the DCs developed inside different SCs?

Hello Akshatha

My track contains single SC. This single SC comprises of lot many DCs.

By phases, I meant development periods in which different DCs were worked upon.

I hope this makes the scenario more clear.

Hi Kapil,

Then I do not see any problem here. You basically have two states in a track the development(Dev) and consolidation(Cons) state.

Dev is the place where the developers are allowed to work and keep consolidating their changes to cons.

Cons is supposed to be the stable state. Even when you do the assembly, the SCAs are assembled via the contents in the cons.

May be you can schedule some everyday transport from dev-> to cons and then a schedule to assemble daily. In this way you will have the SCA from Assembled with up-to-date information.
