Hi,
I have a R/3 Plant created, how do I map the CRM BP to the Plant, is there any procedure.
Regards,
Murali
Hi Murali,
In CRM plant is not a mandatory component in the sales transactions and in BPs. The plant will get determined from the R/3 material master, if required. For e.g. if you execute a ATP check from CRM, the required plant will get determined from R/3 material master before executing ATP check.
But if you really want a plant to appear on CRM order, for some specific requireement then you use the partner function vendor to add a plant onto CRM order. You can download plants into CRM as BPs. Please refer to the OSS notes - 528347, 535976 and 493947

Hi Murali
Using the adapter object DNL_PLANT, you can download the R/3 plant as a BP in CRM. The BP will be created with an internal number assignment.
The R/3 plant <-> CRM BP relation also gets maintained in the table CRMM_LOCMAP.
Plz reward points if helpful.
Thanks and regards

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the useful information, what I understood, I can not craete any Plant directly in CRM as a BP, I will have to configure the Plant in R/3 and download it to CRM which will craete the BP. Am I correct.
When I process my Sales transaction in CRM where does this Plant information being used, Is the Plant BP in CRM used in Organization management.
Thanks for all your help.
Regards,
Murali
Hi Murali
The plant info is not directly used in your sales transaction. Your plant appears in the Product master. In the Sales and Distribution tab of the Product master, the plant appears as the 'Delivery Location'.
And since you are using CRM with a backend R/3, creating the plant in R/3 and downloading it to CRM is the best thing to do.
Plz reward points if helpful.
Thanks and regards
Debolina
