S/4 HANA Integration with SAP PO - WHAT TO CONSIDER

Hello Experts

In our current landscape we are working on SAP PO 7.4 Single stack and migrating to SAP PO 7.5 Single Stack and planning to Integrate S/4 HANA with PO immediately.

Can I please ask for some key architecture level technical considerations for this integraion to be seamless and smooth. I am looking for some key technical aspects to be considered for integrating SAP PO 7.5 to S/4 HANA. for e.g.

1) Are there some specific types of Interfaces which may not work for eg. Specific IDOC scenarios

2) Are there any specific versions , support pack constraints which make the Integration seamless

3) Is it easier to connect to S/4 HANA to SAP PO or to HANA to HCI

4) Should we consider to switch from SAP PO TO HCI before we Integrate with S/4 HANA

Technically, I learnt that the integration is similar to any other ECC PI Integration but it is the special cases and things to note that I am looking for.

Since I am new to SAP PI/PO space, I would appreciate if anyone could please help me with this, providing a little detail or reference to some blogs or posts about it.

if you have PO on your landscape then never think of going to HCI. SAP sales people convince IT head that HCI is better than PO. it is never true.they want to sell their products.

is your S/4 HANA cloud based or on premise?

It is cloud based and migrating to HANA is inevitable if not today but in a few years!

yes it is inevitable. but right now if you have PO, then it can serve what HCI can do.

do the integration now using po and then later plan your migration. if it is not costing any penny then you can go with HCI.
