Barcode for Assets in Bydesign

Hi All. We need to print Barcode for our Fixed assets in Bydesign. Is SAP Bydesign have inbuilt functionality to generate the Barcodes.

The feature described here is not available in the current release of SAP Business ByDesign. Also, you can place this feature on Ideas place: https://ideas.sap.com/

Hi Arun,

As Harsh mentioned, this is currently not supported as standard.

However, you cna use the InventoryID in the individual material as a unique alphanumeric number used to identify the fixed asset. Or any other extension field. You`d probably need to create a web service to the integrate that with an external scanner. This case document "

Hi Harsh. Thanks for reply. I have already raised this on SAP ideas. Can we generate Barcode during Goods receipt..? What's the best way we can tag our assets with Physical Items in company. Do we need have any third party tool and then integrate it with Bydesign. Appreciate your response.! Thank You
