inputfield ( from RFC model ) size

Hello friends,

I have to set the size of inputfield to 14. This field is mapped to RFC Model. I have searched the fourm, and come to know that one has to create the simple type in local dict. and then assign it to the corresponding inputfield.

I have created a new simple type, can anyone now tell me how I can assign this simple typt to the inputfield ?

Regards,

    Hi,

Create a value attribute--> Goto its properties and set the type property to the simple type that you have defined(clicking on the browse ... button).

      Hi,

The steps to assign a input field a simple type:

1.Create a Simple Type attribute in the Dictionary any type.

2.Create a context variable of type Simple Type. While assigning the type to a context, there will be a button, click on this and you will get to select the type as Dictionary Simple Type.

4.Here you will find the Package where the Simple Type is defined.

      5.Select the value.

6.go to the input field UI and assign this context element.

Create Simple Type in Local Dictionary (see your WD project tree in IDE), type should use "string" as base type, set min/max length constraints here.

Then go to context attribute of corresponding view and change attribute type to newly created type.

Btw, "length" of InputField just set average width of control in characters.

    Hi,

Create a context attribute based on the type you have created in the dictionary.

Bind the input field to this context attribute.

    Hi shah..

Create a context element which u want to bind with input field.

Then give the data type by using type selection and select your simple type tht u have created.

Bind the context node element with your input field.

    Hop this will help..
