Proportional Factors and redisaggregation issue

Dear Friends,

I have a requirement:

1) We are calculating proportional factors (Fixed Proportion) based upon past 12 months history. If for example, I have 4 CVC's and the History percentage say 10%, 50%, 40% and 0%. When I am calculating Proportional Factors, system is updating it correctly for 10000 EA, it is giving 1000, 5000, 4000 and 0 in Proportional Factor data view for CVC's respectively.

When I am disaggregating the data in Interactive Planning Book, system is disaggregating the data and for the last CVC it is zero. I do not want system to update the last CVC with Zero but should keep it Initial.

2) Zero is planned value for us and hence some of the macro calculates the data based upon comparison. If zero, it will update zero in some key figure. Our Macro logic is based on 'If Initial', copy from other KF or else copy for the same KF. User sometimes updates the KF with Zero value intentionally so the first key Figure value of Zero is updated and doesn't go to another Key Figure.

Is there any means by which we allow system not to update the data (Keeping Initial) for the CVC's for which we do not have any Sales Order History (For which Zero has been updated in proportional factor calculation).

Your response is highly appreciated.

Regards,
Rakesh Wade.

Dear Friends,

Giving an overview to avoid going through all the explanation given in the first comment 🙂

My question is, when we disaggregated the data, the system should not update the CVC's at the detailed level with Zero value if not Sales Order History exists. The cell should remain 'Initial'.

In our case, when disaggregation is happening, the system is updating some CVC's with zero value as not Sales Order History on basis of Proportional Factors. And when it is updating as zero (Planned value in DP), some of the macro logic will not work.hence, while disaggregation we need Initial value instead of Zero value.

Rakesh Wade.
