Communication limits per contact?

Hi,

I'm interesting to make a set-up for the landing page which would include the possibility to the contact to choose (in general or per category) the number of email he will accept to receive in the future.

Has someone already experiment this?

This could allow us to take the frequency per contact.

Is it possible in Hybris marketing to manage this and take this into account in the marketing campaigns?

Hello Catherine,

basically it is possible to set communication limits per communication category:

However this is per communication category, but not per contact.

In the 1702 onPrem Edition there might be a way using BAdI CUAN_MKT_SUPPRESSION_RULES (enhancement spot CUAN_MARKETING_PERMISSIONS) to implement such a design based on a 'communication limits' custom field.

Thanks for your answer. I knew about the badi.

My question is: How can we manage the frequency via a landing page?

I would like to create a landing page for the unsubscription which allows the contacts to choose their own frequency of emails before really click on the unsubscription link.

Do you think this is possible?

Hi Catherine,

What about creating different communication category based on frequencies? You check mark "Subscription" and you also maintain limit frequencies for them.

And then you offer different subscription options in your landing page like below:

- I want to subscribe to this newslette (twice a week)

- I want to subscribe to this newsletter (once a week)

etc...

you mean multiply the categories with different limits?

For example:

category 'promotion' (once a week)

category 'promotion' (twice a week)

...

I also need to link my email in the content studio. Which one do I choose then?

Hi Catherine,

Yes, I meant multiplying communcation categories. For e-mail content, you can copy the same e-mail content for each communication category as there's 1:1 relationship between them. I think this also gives you flexibility in case you want to make slight difference in e-mail contents according to frequency for instance.
