Maintenance Plans with additional warranty

Hello Folks,

I need you help as I'am stuck at a crucial stage in my project.

There is a scenario of Maintenance Plan for which i need your suggestions.

There is a requirement to create a time based cyclical maintenance plan where the service tickets should be created once in a year for 3 years.

Example - Registered Product A was sold on 01/01/2017 with a 3-year warranty i.e. the warranty life is valid upto 12/31/2019.

First Service Ticket should be created on 01/01/2018. Second Service Ticket should be created automatically on 01/01/2019. After the Warranty period is lapsed, the system should not create any Service Ticket.

Ideally based on the reference date (Warranty start date) service tickets should be created. We have created an MDRO which will run everyday. Based on the MDRO run, service tickets should be created if the conditions are met.

If we have to meet the above requirement we need to create one MDRO run for each maintenance plan once in a year . Considering the above logic if there are a thousand maintenance plans we would need one thousand MDRO runs which is not correct.

Any suggestions/ recommendations would definitely be of help.
