configuring ADS

Hi experts,

I need to know the procedure to :

1. check whether ADS is configured in your Netweaver system or not.

2 Configure ADS if not done.

3. where to go, to start configuration , I mean is there any transaction or path to follow for configuring ADS.

Points will be awarded .

Thanks,

Sushant

    Hi,

you can use following ABAP Reports in the Netweaver System for checking the ADS-Configuration:

    <i><b>FP_TEST_00

    FP_EXAMPLE_01</b></i>

If the ADS is correctly configured, PDF-Formulars will be shown.

    Regards,

    Dieter

    Hi Sushant,

    1. To check whether ADS is configured or not

Enter the following URL in your Web browser: http://<server>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config where <server> is the name of the J2EE engine where the Adobe document services are installed, and <port> is the port of the J2EE engine.

The Web page of the Web service AdobeDocumentServices is displayed. Choose Test.

    Choose rpdata(test.…).

Choose the Send button without entering any parameters.

Enter the user name and password .

    Choose Submit.

If the configuration is correct, the system displays the version number of the Adobe document services in the response area.

You can ignore the message Required stream: "PDFDocument" not found.

If the configuration is not correct, the page does not change and Submit remains on the screen.

You can also check if ADS is installed by using the URL:

    http://<server>:<port>/wsnavigator

Here you should be able to see the AdobeDocumentServices Webservice.

    2 . To configure ADS.

Configure ADS using the configuration Guide at

    Also check Note 894009.

    Hope this helps.
