cost roll up-urgent

Dear All,

When I go for costing(ck11n) say for finish mat. in new month(period), all my semi-finish and raw material cost should roll up for costing for this period means new cost estimate should automatically be made for all my semi-finished and raw materials and/or otherwise it should give error/info that required semi-finished material is still not costed for this period.

Pl. suggest the settings for this.

you dont need special configuration for this. If you have proper BOM and routing which has Semi finshed goods and Raw materials, then it should automatically will update the SF goods and raw materials.

As you need new cost estimates to be calculated automatically for the sub components, you need to resort to the mass run of cost estimates offered by the transaction code CK40N. Costing run is divided in three parts General Data, Processing and Costing Results.

Here you create a costing run with any name for a current date. Under the Processing tab, you specify the plant and the top level material in the area relating to selection.

Following this, you do the structure explosion. When you do this, you get to see all the sub components also picked up for costing. You can view the list of materials in the Costing results portion. Choose material overview to see the list.

You can try with a finished product as well.

When you follow through the end of the costing run, you can view all the cost estimates available for marking and release.

No extra setting is required.....

If you have configured your costing variant properly thats enough......

CK11N - perform costing run....

Now you need to go to CK24 to mark/release the cost estimate.....Here you need to give co code, plant and material....

If you dont give material it will automatically select everything (this includes your raw material and semi finished material).......

An easier way is to use CK40N........
