Early Close MM Period

Hii,

Can we close MM period early ?

example - suppose we close MM period at end of month but our finance team request to close the MM period early. is there any impact on the posting site ?

Hi Kurosaki

U can close MM period early but for what purpose as Some data like total value, total stock, valuation class, price control indicator, and price unit) is managed by period. For values and goods movements to be posted to the correct period.

If u close mm period early than desired all above said data can go for toss.

If by mistake samebody closes it still u can post trnx. in previous period by allowing it in MMRV

What is the need of closing MM period early and what is your bussiness requirement.Your Finance team request you to close the MM period early but why? Ask them.........

Generally no body close MM period early and once you close you can not post any of your document.In MMRV, you can set allow back posting, so that you post document in current month and current minus one month.You can open period in MMPV but do not open just like that.Consult your MM head and FICO head.

You can close MM period early. If you still want to post to the same period, you should allow backposting (via tcode MMRV).
