- Did you rename the machine recently?

- are you logged in as <sid>adm?

No, I didnt rename th machine & these are the steps that I am following.

1) Enter as root user(Linux)

2)Then su nw4adm

Password ...

then Bash : startsap nw4host

Error: No start Profiles found.

What could be the reason When I check my /sapmnt/Nw4/Profiles it looks ok.

Try to

su - nw4adm

(don't omit the dash, otherwise it won't get the correct environment).

are you trying su - nw4adm or su nw4adm ? use su - nw4adm then it will have the env variables of nw4adm else it wont

hi,

this is the error:

error: java.io.FileNotFoundException:<b> JdbcCon.log (Permission denied)</b>

The file JdbcCon.log is created on the current directory

you do not have authorizations to

- create the file if it does not exit -

> chech the authorizations on the current directory

- overwritte the file if it already exist -

> chech the authorizations on the file

check that you are doiing this with the user "sidadm" on the correct directory

Hi Somil,

From the startup script, database has started successfully. Java DB connection test has failed. Please send out output of logfile JdbcCon.log this will help. Try to login to the instance and check.

Have any passwords in JAVA schema been changed?

Cheers,

Nisch

Somil,

1. May be Database is not online. Start the Database

2. If DB is running then execute R3trans -d and paste the log here.

3. Try this SAP Note :403004

Hope this will help you

Thanks
