BPC Real Time Consolidation S4H 1610 - Single vs Multiple Client

Hi Experts,

We are working on a Real Time consolidation implementation on S4H 1610 FPS1. Here, the installation consists of client 001 for BW/BPC and client 002 for S4 Functional activities.

Aspects of modelling:

- The RTC modelling is client dependent and is done where we have functional data (both master data and transactional data) i.e. client 002.

- BW modelling is done where BW is set up i.e. client 001. This is client independent modelling.

- BPC modelling is on BW based client i.e. client 001.

Now comes the tricky part, the RTC config as per the FPS1 configuration document consists of assigning the Chart of Accounts, viewing master data from particular client where you are connected. i.e. here BPC launched from client 001 will show chart of accounts, etc from client 001 only, which is not intended, as S4 functional client is client 002. Here, we are unable to see the client specific data in BPC.

The SAP FAQ blog https://answers.sap.com/questions/184933/frequently-asked-questions-regarding-the-real-time.html (refer Q4) states having single client configuration which in reality is difficult for the IT / BASIS teams to digest.

Here, the BW modelling is accessible only for client 001 and not for any other clients.

Can you please enlighten us on this issue faced?
And what is the solution to get the RTC configuration working?

Any inputs around this would be really helpful.
