Hello,

I got a problem to save report into Crystal Server from Crystal report via Entreprise, when I want to save, this error is displayed : Internal Error : The Report Application Server failed.

I've try to follow this KB

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1815366 but it doesn't work for me.

I think it's a right problem because if I save the same report with admin user, I don't have this problem.

Do you know wich right I need to applyed to my user to save report into Crystal Server

from Crystal report via Entreprise.

Crystal Server 2013

Crystal Report 2013

Hello,

Yes I got dynamic parameters in my reports.

Actually I don't use BVM to manage them and users who got admin right can save report. So I think I forgot rights to my non admin user who need to save report into enterprise repository.

Also, I forgot to say in my first text I can't open report too, I got this error message :

"The report could not be opened from SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.
Possibly the report is on a different SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise
system than the one you are currently logged onto. If this problem
persists, please contact your administrator."

Some others ideas ?

Does the report have dynamic parameters and are you trying to update the "repository" when you save it? If so, you've actually got a couple of issues.

1. Dynamic parameters should be created in the Business View Manager (from Client Tools install) instead of creating them in your reports. By creating them directly in the BVM, you can reuse them in multiple reports and use a single Data Connection, Data Foundation, and Business View to feed multiple Business Elements and LOV's which are used to create dynamic parameters. When you save dynamic params to the repository from a report instead of using the BVM, Crystal will create all of the above to feed a single parameter and you will have to edit the Data Connection in the BVM to set the logon credentials before it will work.

2. Your user is getting an error because security has not been set in the BVM to allow the user to save the objects to build the dynamic param. Users have to have access to all of the objects that are used to build a dynamic prompt in order to be able to use them as well. This security can ONLY be configured in the BVM - it's not accessible in the CMC.
