wrong delivery of goods

Hi All,

Our company depot at Calcutta has raised an order of 100 boxes of material A to the manufacturing plant at Mumbai.

Mumbai plant did the stock transfer of 100 boxes of material A to depot at Calcutta.

At depot the MIGO was done as per the order and the documents were booked that accompanied with the shipment. Later when the truck was getting unloaded and stock was being placed in store, it was found that there are 90 boxes of material A and 10 boxes of another material B which were not ordered at all.

These 10 boxes of wrong shipment cannot be returned back to plant.

Earlier in the legacy system if this was the case, then there was never an issue as it was not so integrated system like sap. We use to book material A as 90 boxes and material B as 10 boxes as there was no STO like process. And use to manage on telephone only.

How this can be handled in sap if there is wrong shipment.

Solution 1

generate delivery of 10 boxes if possible, and accomodate that 10 boxes.

receive 90 boxes agaoinstg requirement of 100 boxes , and ask that plant to send remaining 10 boxes.this is only the economical solution.

Solution 2

Put 10 boxes in GR blocked stock,90 boxes in to stoes and ask that plant to send 10 boxes.

In line with your legacy system the solution would be :

1. Reverse the GR for 100 for mat A.

2. Do Migo and receive 90 for Mat A.

3. Set the Delivery Complete Indiciator as you would not like to recive another 10 peices.

4. Add one more line item for Mat B(which you recieved by mistake but would l

ike to keep in the stock) in the exising PO.

5. Do GR for MatB , 10 qty .

Hi Friends,

maintain that wrong delievered quantity as GR Blocked stock in 10 quantity.. After confirmation from the vendor make its reverse into warehouse storage location stock in our premises..

Wrong delivery of 10 boxes material send as return delivery and maintain reasone for some related to that

when you doing PO and GR select partial delivery so system automatically balance will show in 10 and inventory will updated only 90

This scenario may be fit your problem

Dear Prem,

please go thru my question. i cannot send this material back as distance between the depot and plant is too much and it is not economical.

i have to accomodate both the right one and the wrong one boxes at the depot itself.
