Sales order does not allow make-to-order production

hello GURUs

my PP person is geting this problem

wen he is creating make to order planning multi level

t-code is MD50

Sales order does not allow make-to-order production

Message no. 61155

Diagnosis

The sales order entered is not to be included in make-to-order production.

System Response

Account assignment can only be carried out with sales orders created with a requirements type for make-to-order production.

Procedure

Enter a sales order that is to be included in make-to-order production.

please help me to resolve this issue

hi panda,

you can create production order within sales order.

first of all check your item category , in the sub-screen Bill of Material Configuration

in the field Application there must be PP01.

Next step is to configure your requirement class.

Among other things you have to specify the order type for the requirement class.

Create a req type and assign it with your req. class.

After that assign the item category and MRP Type with the Requirement Type.

I can sent you the paths of these settings if you want.

First you have to check the sale order material.

you go to MM02-> MRP3->PLANNING->Strategy group

Check item category back end settings of sales order

in that T-code is VOV8 check doc assigned settings

Tel your SD Person to check item category & condition type (Procurement section in so)...Check whether its appropraate for Make TO Order one.(out of 011/021/031/041/Customised)

IT SHOUD BE SAME AS per confign...If not manually put reqt type & save SO..

Again Try creating in MD50..

i ve removed the atp in each of this level

but then also he is facing the problem

as per logic if a order look for stock first then its not a make to order so we have to remove the all check in order level scheduline level to make it a make to order production

i m the only sd guy here in testing i m geting this problem

so wen the make the atp was there i think it was coming

i ve removed all the atp checks

still he gets the problem

wat more we can do from SD side please suggest

i ve found the fault

its in sales order the procuremnt tab we have the requrement type colomn

wen we put KE the the order is make to order

but wen something else the requirement is not make to order

so mine by default its coming KE

so how to make it KE

wat is the setting for automatic assignment of KE to sales order

please suggest the way to it...

hi,

plz check the item catergory that is getting determined in the sales order. make sure its tak and a schedule line is assigned to it too.

I don’t know much abt that.. but plz do check the Schedule line category/Req Class etc
