Shopping cart Item Price is not changing

Dear SRMers,

System Information SRM 4.0, R3 4.6 c

We have a situation in Shopping cart creation, where a non-catalog item

is having different prices displayed in the shopping cart.

Here is an example

First line is item X Price $1.00 EA

Second line is item Y Price $3.00 EA

Now for line 2, I want to change to item X again. When I change, the

price is still $3.00 instead of changing to $1.00.

So we have this scenario:

First line is item X $1.00 EA

Second line is item X $3.00 EA.

Please let us know how to address this situation.
