Hi all, I ve the both following question : (it is not clear for me)

1) Does CTS+ transport management use SLD transport and target data linked with business system to adapt XI configuration (ID) regarding Business sender and receiver systems ?????

2) One of my customer want to install only 2 XI system.

- 1 linked with Dev & Quality R/3 environment

- 1 linked with production R/3 system

Is it possible regarding SLD content ?

How must the transports be managed in this case using CTS ?

Thanks a lot

Hi Jean,

I think this is possible using File Transport system. As far as SLD linked is consider untill n unless you have same Business System / Sevice it should be a problem for transporting IR /ID objects...

Also can you please tell us whether you are planning to used same SLD for both XI system or different SLD..

Thanks for your help.

We plan to have only one SLD for our 2 XI systems. We intend to use CTS+ to transport XI objects between both environment.

My first question is important for us to know if we can use the SLD business system attributes (Transport group and Target) with CTS+.

If we have a scenario in wich QE1 (SAP R/3) is the sender in our Test environment, we want to ensure a transport with CTS+ can do the link to build automatically the Production corresponding scenario in which PE1 (the target system of QE1 in SLD) would be the sender....

The second question deals with the ability to regroup Quality and Development scenarii in the Same Test integration server regarding transport point of view.

Only Quality systems would have a target system in production.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Jean-Charles,

R/3 Dev system shouldnt have targets,

QE1 should have target PE1.

You can use CTS for transport, no problem.

At XI development system you must have the routing (directory) objects twice, only the QE1-coppled objects will be transported. When you develop and test with the R/3 development system you ve to copy the directory objects manually.

Hi Sumit,

I meant to say...

If you have business system / services with same name created in new SLD, there wont be ane problem while transporting IR and IB objects.

Let us know if you need more details.

Hi Nilesh,

>>>If you have business system / services with same name created in new SLD, there wont be ane problem while transporting IR and IB objects.

There would be no problem whatsoever if we dont have the same name for business systems / services.

If you need further clarification do let us know.

Regards,

Sumit
